How to compare sources and prepare a brief

If you need a website fix or a small automation, start with the result you want to inspect: a page that works at the agreed sizes, a corrected calculation, or one workflow that produces the right output. You can compare human, AI-assisted and collaborative proposals against that same result.

Tasks you can describe clearly

Useful first scopes include fixing a broken form, improving a page on mobile, connecting one input to an existing spreadsheet, cleaning a defined dataset, or reproducing and correcting one software issue. State which files, applications and sample inputs already exist. Keep a larger redesign or a new application separate from the first repair.

Questions for a potential contributor

Ask which relevant example they can show, what access they need, what is included in the proposal and who checks any AI-generated work. Confirm where the finished code or workflow will run and which files you will receive. Request an explanation of any continuing subscription or usage cost. For external listings, verify current availability and the original publisher's application process directly.

What to check at delivery

Agree a normal example and a few relevant exceptions before work begins. For automation, these might include a repeated input, a missing field and a temporarily unavailable destination. For a website fix, check the affected interaction and agreed screen sizes. Request editable files, setup instructions and a clear way to identify failures. A successful demonstration should be supported by results you can reproduce.

Use the small automation project brief to prepare examples and handover requirements. For other software work, start with the general task brief. Describe your own task when the first deliverable is clear.

About sources and dates

We review original publications, remove duplicates and write independent summaries. Published filters and newest-first ordering use verified publication evidence. Activity windows, document dates, PDF metadata, file-name dates and reviews are labelled separately; their original publication date remains unverified. An accessible source or a future deadline does not confirm current availability, eligibility or funding. Contact the original publisher about an external listing; use SparkGuild to post your own task.

For TED notices, consult the original publication and latest changes. Source terms apply separately to notices and attachments; access alone does not grant reuse permission. TED API documentation · Read a tender notice
